As we head into 2023, we are focused on shifting our brand to becoming a health & wellness company… try these tips this week to improve your mental health which will only help your overall wellness!

Take a break when needed:

Stepping away from your work for a few minutes can help you clear your head and refocus. If you feel your mind wandering & your task at hand is becoming too overwhelming take a moment to step away. You will come back to a more productive state.

Practice relaxation techniques:

Classical music has been scientifically proven to calm the mind. Try listening to some at work.

Stay organized:

Use a planner or to-do list to help you stay on top of your tasks and reduce the feeling of being overwhelmed. Some people prefer a digital calendar and some prefer a pen and paper. Whichever you choose you will find mapping out a busy day in advance will help guide you through your day successfully.

Communicate effectively:

Talk to your supervisor or coworkers about your workload and any concerns you have. Being direct as possible will help everyone understand your needs or expectations.

Get enough sleep:

Probably the hardest point on the list because this is easier said than done. So many Americans suffer from lack of sleep. Our busy work lives and personal lives contribute greatly to this. Just remember that a lack of sleep can increase stress and decrease your productivity. Put your needs first in this department.

Remember, it's okay to not be okay all the time. These tips can help you manage stress and improve your mental health at work, but it's always okay to seek additional support if you need it.
