Have You Tried a Flexitarian Diet?
To be honest I had no idea what this was when our chef approached us about curating some new dishes for our menu. At first I was hesitant that it would be flavorless and boring but boy was I wrong. Flexitarian is the newest wave of flexible vegetarian style eating in America! With the right creativity the meals can be fun, full of flavor and very filling. Not to mention you just feel great after eating them.
Flexitarian is a style of eating that encourages meals with mostly plant-based ingredients while allowing meat and other animal products in moderation. It's more flexible than fully vegetarian or vegan diets.
Here are the top 5 Benefits of Flexitarian eating
1 – Reduced Risk of Type 2 Diabetes
2 – Better for the Environment
3 – Potentially Reduces Risk of Heart Disease
4 – It's Nutrient Dense
5 – It's Easier to Follow than Vegetarian or Vegan Diets.
95 Nutrition has been doing our research and will be introducing some new and exciting flexitarian options. Some meals, like our Buddha bowl, will be completely vegetarian, while others will incorporate a meat source with the option to substitute for a plant based protein.
